Ask Yourself . . .

Would you like to feel ready for any interview situation, no matter how little notice you have?

Do you want to know how to handle tough reporters or uncomfortable questions more effectively?

Would you like to have clear, compelling, natural (not memorized) messages at the ready, to deliver in interviews?

Would you like to learn simple preparation techniques that you can use to feel strong, confident and in control in every interview?

Do you want to have proven methods for avoiding the career-killing traps some of your colleagues have fallen into in the public eye?

If you answered “yes” to any of these questions, my media training programs will give you all of this and more.

Media training is one of the most important things I do with my clients. In an age where video rules (on TV, the web, phones and just about everywhere), your ease and comfort and sense of control in front of the camera is essential.

In my work, I draw upon my more than 20 years as a publicist, training clients for interviews on CNN, The Oprah Winfrey Show, network news stations throughout the U.S., and radio and print interviews. I also bring to the training sessions my experience as a public speaker who has delivered hundreds of presentations to both large and small groups of people and my acting
training (from fantastic teachers in New York).

Clients I have media trained include medical doctors, authors, health and wellness experts, business experts, spiritual leaders and entrepreneurs who have created products.

When working with clients, I am sensitive to the vulnerable position you are in and so I am gentle, proactive and positive. I don’t believe in negative reinforcement of any kind. With that being said, I will continue giving you refinements and feedback to get you to your personal best.

The training and advice I provide helps clients manage their image and communicate a consistent message (and avoid getting into trouble by saying the wrong thing) not only in media interviews, but also in social media and other situations. With cameras on phones being omnipresent, people must be aware that everything can be caught on camera and spread quickly through the Internet. So, we have all become public figures in this way.

All of my media training programs include:

  • advice on dealing with the media
  • education on do’s and don’ts when working with the press
  • message clarification and development
  • preparation techniques
  • on-camera mock interviews with feedback that will help you instantly improve follow-up session
